Uber has announced the launch of a new service, Uber Health, to transport patients who need rides to and from physicians.

Partnering with healthcare providers, Uber Health will allow providers to schedule rides for patient through a HIPAA approved digital platform. Text messages will alert patients about their rides, which are covered by providers, and they will be picked up by Uber drivers.
